This new fair was initiated as recently as the October of last year. A committee composed of representatives from the industry is responsible for the fact that the doors of the first Eurobrico will be open for business at the Valencia exhibition site from 8 to 11 May. The organisers, Valencia Fairs, are expecting to see between 150 and 200 exhibitors occupying a net exhibition area of 5 000 m2 for this first time. However, a total of 3 500 m2 had already been booked by the end of January.
The range of products offered by the exhibitors is divided into five categories: fittings/building components, kitchens/bathrooms, hardware/electrical, decoration and, finally, outdoor living with garden products and building equipment. The paints and coatings trade fair, Delcolor, will take place in parallel to Eurobrico.
For the fair’s premiere around 5 000 visitors are expected, primarily from Spain and Portugal to start with, but from South America and France as well. On the final day the fair will also be open to the general public.
Valencia is where the Eurobrico will open for business.
The internationalism of the fair will consequently at first be reflected on the exhibitors’ side. The organisers intend to attract not only big, internationally active companies as participants but also medium- and small-sized firms, some of which will be present within the framework of group stands.
It is planned to hold the fair again next year, after which it is to be staged at two-yearly intervals.
