Asia-Pacific Sourcing 2017, which takes place from 7 - 9 March in Cologne (Germany), will be bigger than the previous event in 2015. According to Koelnmesse, more than 600 exhibitors had confirmed their participation by November. A new increase in exhibitors is expected. In the past year the number of exhibitors rose by five per cent (to 656) while the number of visitors rose by 30 per cent (to 6 600).
"With its growing number of exhibitors and visitors, Asia-Pacific Sourcing proves that Asia is an important trading partner for Europe and North America and that it above all has additional potential," says Katharina C. Hamma, Chief Operating Officer of Koelnmesse. So, a huge diversity of products for the house, garden and leisure sector from the Far East will be awaiting the visitors in Hall 5 of the Cologne fair grounds.
At the Asia-Pacific Sourcing, manufacturers and sales companies from the Far East, including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and India, showcase their products over 24 200 m². They present tools and products, innovations and trends in Asian products for the house, garden and leisure sector.The organisers, Koelnmesse, wish to position Asia-Pacific Sourcing as the central business and communication platform for buyers, because here they meet up with their sourcing partners from Asia in a compressed format over three days.
The IAW Fair (Internationale Aktionswarenmesse - International Trade Fair for Retail Promotions and Imports) will also be staged in Halls 6 and 7 of the Cologne exhibition centre, parallel to the trade fair in Hall 5. Europe's leading order fair for promotional products complements the offers available at Asia-Pacific Sourcing with its product portfolio of promotional products, seasonal impulse articles and trend-led products. More than 300 exhibitors are expected at the IAW.
"As a result of the expanded range of offers through the IAW Fair that is staged parallel, we create synergy effects and thus added value for the trade fair visitors from all over the globe. We are convinced that in 2017 the trade fair duo, Asia-Pacific Sourcing and the IAW Fair, will once again more than satisfy the expectations of the trade fair participants," stated Hamma.
