Clas Ohlson has posted a 3 per cent increase in sales from May to October, the first six months of its 2022/2023 financial year, bringing its turnover to SEK 4.294 bn (EUR 393.9 mio). The company noted that "customers are increasingly planning their purchases carefully and many are looking for sales and promotions," CEO Kristofer Tonström commented on the figures. "For us, this means that we need to defend our price position and put additional focus on measures to achieve a higher cost level while ensuring the highest possible relevance in our customer offer. All in all, these are our top priorities as we now enter the most important sales period of the year."
