In the past Witex has concentrated on distributing its products in the traditional specialist trade, i.e. specialist dealers in textile floor coverings and interior designers as well as painters and decorators. However, now the company has adapted to the growing significance of builders’ merchants and DIY stores and introduced a suitable brand concept.
Since the middle of this year the manufacturer from Augustdorf has been offering four different collections of varying quality levels under the overall brand name of Point Floor. Individually they are called Speedy and Speedy Plus, each in 14 different finishes, in addition to Magic and Magic Plus, each in ten finishes. The “Plus” attached to the name includes all the products that are supplied with an additional coating of insulation material. All products come complete with the adhesive-free Witex installation system. A programme of skirting boards coordinated with the different decorative finishes, a variety of underlay materials and special cleaning systems for the adhesive-free laminate flooring round off the product offer.

A promotional programme has been designed to attract attention at the POS. It covers sales literature, pallet displays, shop posters, announcements on the store PA system and danglers. What is more, the service package includes training measures either on the spot or at the Witex plant, as well as special sales campaigns and DIY evenings for the firms’s customers, who also receive support from the company’s field organisation.
