New show structure
A new thematic structure has been applied to the range of products offered at Spoga+Gafa, resulting in their division into five areas:
Indoor & Outdoor Ambience: floristry & decoration, plants & plant care, water & outdoor lighting, pets & accessories
Outdoor Technology: machines & equipment, hand tools & accessories, fixtures, fittings & garden structures
Outdoor Living: furniture & items for the home
Outdoor Activities: grills & barbecues, camping & leisure, sports & games
“All the top companies and brand names in these areas will be represented at this year’s Spoga+Gafa. Which is why we expect an excellent visitor turnout,” says Oliver P. Kuhrt, executive vice president of Koelnmesse GmbH.
The largest product grouping is represented by Outdoor Living with its furniture and home items segments that have attracted 640 exhibiting companies. And for no less than the fourth time the “Garden Furniture Centre of Excellence” will provide a focal point here. In Halls 1 and 2.2 more than 50 companies from 12 countries are showing outdoor furnishings, which are characterised by up-market design, innovative ideas, choice materials and excellent quality. With a total of 180 suppliers, the segment offering grills & barbecues is the most strongly represented grouping in the Outdoor Activities area.
The two biggest product groupings in the Outdoor Technology area are machines & equipment with around 370 suppliers, and fittings & garden structures with 360. The machines & equipment category includes lawnmowers, scarifiers, chainsaws and pressure cleaners, while products in the fittings & garden structures section range from summer houses and fencing through to pergolas and trellises as well as watering cans. About 250 suppliers will be presenting vases and bowls, fountains and garden figures in the floristry & decoration section, which represents the largest group within the Indoor/Outdoor Ambience category.
