Mecafer was established in France in 1976, when one of its activities was assembling compressors for sale to the general public at a time when the DIY superstore sector was in its infancy
One of this year’s new products is the “Workshop Jobber”.
Today Mecafer is the group’s consumer brand in France, Germany and Austria, in the Benelux states, the countries belonging to the old Eastern bloc and former Yugoslavia, in Italy and the major markets of South America as well. A comprehensive logistical and service network is maintained in countries with a particularly high store density, such as Germany, France, Italy and Benelux.
The DIY superstores are provided with support in the shape of merchandising aids to familiarise customers with new applications: the material is designed to convey in-formation on the one hand, whilst also tempting the consumer to buy. The individual compressor ranges and tools are compatible with each other, and accessories are presented in blister packs. A new presentational style will be available throughout Europe and in twelve languages from the beginning of next year.
“Happy House” offers a diversity of applications.
The group has a constant stream of new products to offer, and the recent success of the “Family” model shows that there definitely is a mass market in this product segment. Among the new lines launched this year are the “Workshop Jobber” and “Happy Car”, and four new concepts are destined for introduction at the coming Cologne fair.
