Among the products manufactured at the “Kunststofftechnik” production plant at Ichenhausen are pre-shaped ponds in five different sizes ranging in volume from 150 to 1 000 litres. The ponds are made of moulded polyethylene, a material that results in ponds that are light (from 3 kg for the T150 model) yet robust. The company’s most popular pond model is the T150, which offers a volume of 150 l and a surface area of 0.85 m². This sells in by far the greatest numbers. In some individual cases it is even used indoors in offices or living rooms. Also available are ponds with a capacity of 250, 400, 600 and 1 000 litres. Some of these models are not only distributed by Al-Ko “Garten & Hobby”, but are also supplied as private labels or to other garden equipment specialists.

These garden ponds consist of so-called regenerable material, which is recycled material that principally comes from the company’s own production waste.
The range of moulded ponds is continuously being expanded. As marketing aide Maike Pompe explains, “We attach importance to product management and the improvement of existing pond models.” At the Gafa exhibition, for example, the 1 000 litre pond was presented with a sand-coloured, structured surface. The “Ambiente” indoor pond was also presented in a new form.

The pond range is broadened by the inclusion of fountain pumps, a new series of which was also displayed at Gafa. They have spray jets that can be height adjusted with the help of a telescopic stem, which allows them to be aligned with the surface of the water. The spherical head allows for several different spray designs, while the specially shaped housing gives great flexibility when positioning the pump in the pond. The pumps are available with delivery capacities of 650, 1 200 or 2300 litres per hour. The flow rate is simple to control. The pumps can be combined with a mains water system and also be used as stream lift pumps by means of a branch adapter.
