The company has also come up with a number of ideas where merchandising is concerned. For instance, it has developed an entirely new sales rack – designed in four different tiers – for its wide range of plastic profiles. There is also an appropriate merchandiser available for the decorative panels, which are individually packaged to protect them from damage or corrosion and to prevent any danger of injury to customers.
CQFD generated sales of € 25 mio in 2003 with a workforce of 180. Production is carried out at two plants in France, Saint Laurent d’Agny near Lyon and Natzwiller near Strasbourg. The company exports 40 per cent of its products to other countries of Europe: Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland as well as Britain, Ireland and Germany. It is represented by branches of its own in Britain (Wellingborough) and Poland (Breslau), and a German branch is due to open for business in just a few months.

The company was founded in 1965 and is part of the French Socaldi Group, which concentrates on the development, production and marketing of electrical equipment. The group of companies generates an annual turnover of € 150 mio with a workforce in excess of 1 000. Chapuis, another of the group’s subsidiaries, claims market leadership throughout Europe in the chain and rope segment.
