Double-decker DIY store

B&Q has opened the UK’s first two-storey Warehouse in the centre of Sutton, which is part of Greater London. Building materials, hardware and garden products are available on the ground floor, and the first floor offers ranges such as decorating, kitchens, plumbing and lighting. The Kingfisher group had a total of 573 stores in operation worldwide at the end of the 2001/2002 financial year (to 2 February 2002). A further 59 new stores are to be added to the total during the current year.
