The DIY market leader in Ukraine, Epicentr, ended 2014 with a significant drop in sales. Company reports indicate that, following a year marked by crisis and war, sales calculated in US dollars fell by 21.8 per cent to USD 1.861 bn. The company operates 47 Epicentr DIY stores, but is no longer active in the Crimea. It also owns 16 outlets in the Nova Linia chain, having acquired a majority share of 88.65 per cent in its competitor at the end of 2013. Its total retail area amounts to roughly 1.099 mio m².
