European DIY Trade Association

The European DIY Trade Association is holding its inaugural meeting in Berlin on 15 April 2002, the day before the fourth International BHB DIY Store Congress. The meeting will take place at the invitation of the BHB, the Federal Association of German DIY, Building & Garden Stores, and its two sister organisations in France and the United Kingdom. BHB president Manfred Maus stresses the fact that the new organisation will be open to parallel associations and their member companies not only from Europe but from all over the world. Gilles Cailles of Unibal, the European manufacturers’ association, is in favour of such commitment by the three trade associations and has announced his support for the undertaking.
