New fair in Düsseldorf
Industrial buyers and retailers are the groups being targeted by the new China Sourcing event, which will be held for the first time in Düsseldorf from 12 to 14 September. Only Chinese exhibitors will be represented there. The spectrum of products to be shown by the approximately 200 exhibitors expected to attend ranges from housewares and kitchen appliances, through to DIY and building supplies (where 40 exhibitors had registered by the end of July), as well as spare parts for cars and automotive components, plus bathroom fixtures and fittings (primarily products for the wholesale trade).
It is the aim of China Sourcing to present an exclusive and representative spectrum of Chinese products and suppliers to the wholesalers and retailers of Europe. In addition to the fair there will be a forum, open to all trade visitors, for the discussion of topical themes and trends concerning imports from China and the establishment of comprehensive trade relationships.
Fair duo in Hong Kong
More than 1 000 exhibitors from all over the world are expected at the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair from 26 to 29 October, according to the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), which is organising the event. Last year’s figures indicate 895 suppliers and 22 000 trade visitors, so both are up by 18 per cent this year.
The Hong Kong International Hardware and Home Improvement Fair is also to be staged at the same time. More than 130 exhibitors at this event will be showing a broad spectrum of products ranging from hardware and building materials, through to cleaning requisites as well as the “Home Beautiful” with furnishing and decorating lines. Over 15 000 buyers were registered last year, 55 per cent of them from abroad.
The Décor Zone will await visitors again with a display of special furnishing objects and design ideas. The coming event will also include a Sanitary World again, with a selection of the latest bathroom fixtures and fittings, plus plumbing products. As a special show, the Outdoor and Gardening World will offer a great number of creative ideas for improving both gardens and outdoor facilities. On view there will be garden furniture, all kinds of gardening equipment, ceramics, barbecues and planters. The finishing touch will be provided by seminars on relevant trade topics.
