More precisely: Catral Garden sees itself as the largest manufacturer of PVC privacy screens and artificial hedges in Europe - and is setting about expanding further. There are already sales branches in France and Germany, and the company emphasizes the supply ratio of more than 97 per cent (in Germany more than 98 per cent). In total, Catral exports its products to more than 30 countries.
The company understands its own production to be an important pillar of its business strategy. After all, Catral wants to double its production of exclusive articles by 2020 and is therefore investing in the automation and optimisation of production processes.
The overall assortment however is much larger and covers practically the whole range of garden accessories. It stretches from simple plant tags and plant tunnels, right up to weed nets and wire fencing, and also raised beds made from wood or plastic for the urban gardener. For indoor decoration, vertical gardens with synthetic leaves are offered, but also roots and sticks from wood, or rugs.
An assortment of around 2 000 articles is available and is being continuously expanded. Up to 400 new products are added every year.
Probably the most important innovation is based on the ecological trend: Catral is currently introducing the new material LOP (Light Organic Polymer) to the market. This semi-synthetic material is an innovation which the company has developed and patented itself. It consists of organic and recycled materials and is recyclable itself.
Catral has built a separate product family on the basis of LOP and is working with exclusive designs from the company's own product development. For example there are now privacy screen mats, trellises…
