First Praktiker conversions

The German Praktiker Group has begun to convert a whole lot of outlets of the Praktiker distribution channel to the concept of its second channel, Max Bahr. Scheduled for today, 27 September 2012, is the reopening of the first seven converted stores. Work is at present being done on the conversion of a further seven stores, while a third wave of rebadgings, again involving seven stores, is expected to be completed by mid-December. Altogether some 120 of the original 234 Praktiker stores in Germany are to be rebadged as Max Bahr outlets.
