After a three-year break, the Internationale Pflanzenmesse (IPM) will again be held in Essen in January. The focus this year is on technology.
After a three-year break – and a snowless summer edition last year – the Internationale Pflanzenmesse in Essen, Germany, is back on its traditional January date. From 24 to 27 January 2023, 1 300 companies from 41 countries will present products and services from the fields of plants, technology, floristry and equipment over three days at the trade fair location in Essen. The Asian market, especially China, is restrained due to travel restrictions, Messe Essen states. At the present time, it is assumed that this situation will also be reflected in the number of visitors.
IPM 2023 wants to focus on the technology sector. After all, in addition to the shortage of skilled workers and climate change, the green sector is particularly concerned about the energy crisis. The "IPM Discovery Center" in Hall 7 is also part of the trade fair again. As part of this, Romeo Sommers, creative director of IPM and green stylist, will stage POS ideas with exhibitors' products.
In Hall 5, on the other hand, visitors can expect a new offer for the first time: the IPM Concept Store. In addition, the IPM Concept Store will be presented digitally.
For the first time, there will be an "Innovation Centre for Horticultural Technology" in Hall 4. Here, companies and start-ups as well as research and science will present their products and projects on a joint area.

In cooperation with the Bund deutscher Staudengärtner, the Stauden Ring and selected exhibitors, perennial plant tours will be offered. The meeting point for this will be Hall…
