Everything will be focused on energy efficiency and the role of buildings in the smart grid at this year’s Light and Building trade fair. “The global energy turnaround needs innovative technology. Buildings have a critical role to play here,” says Wolfgang Marzin, managing director of Messe Frankfurt. The exhibition space is already completely booked up by some 2 100 exhibitors. Manufacturers from 50 countries will be presenting their world firsts in the categories of light, electrical technology, home and building automation, and software for the building industry on an area of 240 000 m². In Halls 1 to 6 and 10 manufacturers will be showing their new lamps and lighting, as well as outdoor lighting for public areas. There visitors will also find themes such as LED and OLED. The organisers recorded an attendance figure of 183 000 visitors to Light and Building 2010.Download:
