Warn Works is a brand of tools that are compact in size for portability and versatility. All the winches and pulling devices feature black “touch zones” to identify key operational points. These are designed to ensure that the unit can be started, run and stopped easily and safely by the operator.
At the heart of the new line is the Warn Works 3700 model. With its 1 680 kg pulling capacity, the winch is suited to a variety of tasks, including the loading and unloading of small machinery and construction equipment, raising stud walls and other prefabricated systems, and lifting and positioning roofing materials.
The 3700 model is equipped with a 1.9 hp permanent magnet motor and a robust three-stage planetary gear design. It comes with a multi-directional, top-mounted clutch lever for dependable powering in and out and easy free spooling. The brake is a mechanical and dynamic system that holds the full rated load. Operation is through an industrial contactor control pack and a remote control unit with a 3.6 m lead. Two other models available in the DC winch line are the 4700 and the 1700, which offer different pulling capacities. Each of the DC winches comes standard with wire rope (in diameters ranging from 1.3 cm to 0.6 cm), a safety clasp hook and a fairlead.
Warn Industries is based at Clackamas, USA, and claims to be one of the world’s most recognised manufacturers of off-road products such as hub locks and vehicle recovery winches.
Warn Industries’ new DC win-ches are compact and easy to transport.
