French DIY stores saw sales increase by nearly 20 per cent during July

French home improvement retailers experienced continued high sales in July, even if the growth rates declined somewhat. The country's DIY retailers' association FMB reports an increase in sales of 19.09 per cent compared with the same period last year. Cumulative sales in the DIY sector from January up to and including July remain 4.25 per cent below the figure for the corresponding period in 2019.
In May and June, growth rates were still significantly above the 20 per cent level at 23.84 per cent in May and 29.42 per cent in June.
