Garden and pet stores in France up slightly

The garden and pet store trade in France grew by 1.1 per cent in the year 2020. After a decline of 7.2 per cent in the first six months, the industry recovered in the second half of the year with a plus of 12.5 per cent. These figures have been published by the association Fédération des Jardineries et Animaleries de France.
It states that the overall growth originates from the garden sector. In this assortment, sales increased in the year 2020 by 2.2 per cent. In contrast, the pet sector lost 1.3 per cent while sales in the home sector lay at 1.0 per cent below the previous year's level.
