Overall sales by German DIY stores lay at 11.1 per cent (adjusted -11.8 per cent) below the same period last year in the first nine months of 2021. According to details by the industry association BHB, DIY stores made EUR 15.41 bn. It is said that these figures were affected by, for example, bad weather, the lockdown, price increases and material bottlenecks. In addition, sales in the same quarter of last year were very high; the increase at that time amounted to 13.8 per cent. Compared to the first three quarters of 2019, there is a growth of 2.4 per cent.
