Thai home improvement retailer Siam Global House is looking to launch operations in the Philippines by 2024 even as it ramps up expansion plans in its home country and elsewhere in the region. The company has told investors that it has completed its site survey of two locations in the Philippines and finalised the documentary processes for the joint venture that will operate eponymous outlets in the country. It is now looking into the product assortment and finalising the layout for the first two stores - to be located in the outskirts of the capital region of Metro Manila - in preparation for their construction, which will start next quarter.
Global House also said that it will start back-end operations - including recruitment and training of personnel - in the third quarter, in time for the planned opening in the first quarter of 2024.
The outlets will be "one-stop retail stores for products such as building and construction-related materials, home and garden decorative goods, home improvement goods, construction equipment, hardware and tools," according to the company.
