Home Depot amalgamates divisions

Home Depot is planning to amalgamate the management of two of its nine regional groupings. The Midsouth division with headquarters in Atlanta and the Southern division in Tampa are to be merged into the Southeastern U.S. and Caribbean division. More than 260 Home Depot branches belong to this new organisational unit, which will have its base in Atlanta. It will be headed by Tom Taylor, who was most recently senior vice president of the Professional Business division. The two current divisional presidents, Greg Turner and Tony Brown, will be assisting him during the transitional period.
