In the fourth quarter, the company recorded sales of USD 25.782 bn (EUR 23.740 bn), equivalent to a fall of 2.7 per cent, although the previous financial year was a week longer. Like-for-like sales at Home Depot grew by 5.2 per cent in the fourth quarter overall and by 5.3 per cent in the USA.
According to Craig Menear, chairman, CEO and president, the figures reflect the impact of the One Home Depot investment programme launched two years ago. This created a value proposition that is unique to the marketplace and will extend the leadership position for years to come.
