Home Depot increases sales by 7.2 per cent in 2018/2019

Global DIY market leader Home Depot has closed financial year 2018/2019 (ending 3 February 2019) with sales of USD 108.203 bn and thus with a plus of 7.2 per cent. Like-for-like sales rose overall by 5.2 per cent and on the US home market by 5.4 per cent. For the current financial year the management foresees an overall increase of 3.3 per cent and on a like-for-like basis of 5.0 per cent. The branch network is expected to grow by five locations. Home Depot had 2 287 stores on the reporting date.
In financial year 2018/2019 Home Depot also increased its average receipt amount, namely by 4.2 per cent to USD 65.74. Sales per square foot rose by 7.2 per cent to USD 446.86.
