Home Depot increases support for black colleges

Home Depot will increase its investment in Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to a total of USD 4 mio in 2023 by introducing an expanded range of community projects and career resources for students as part of its Retool Your School programme, the company has announced.

Half of Home Depot's increased commitment is to prepare HBCU students for their future careers with new, needs-based programmes such as internships, scholarships, career workshops and innovation lounges. The remaining USD 2 mio will be used to double the flagship Retool Your School Campus Improvement Grant programme, which provides grants to HBCUs for campus improvements, Home Depot said.
