Home Depot has reported sales of USD 38.9 bn (approx. EUR 36.92 bn) for the first quarter of fiscal 2022 (ending 1 May 2022). This represents an increase of USD 1.4 bn, or 3.8 per cent, over the first three months of 2021. Comparable-store sales for the first quarter of fiscal 2022 increased by 2.2 per cent, with U.S. sales up by 1.7 per cent. "This year, we achieved the highest first-quarter sales in the company's history," said Ted Decker, CEO of the home improvement chain. As a result, the company is upgrading its forecast for fiscal 2022, now expecting total and like-for-like sales to grow by around 3.0 per cent.
