Hornbach expands in Sweden with smaller format

After Hornbach opened the first of its new type of project stores in Sweden in Borås and Kristianstad in the years 2018 and 2019, the German DIY store group has now opened the third location in this format in Sweden. It is situated in Trollhättan, a small town with 60 000 inhabitants 75 km to the north of Gothenburg. Over a retail space covering around 9 000 m² including a drive-in, private and professional customers have direct access to around 25 000 articles here. With mobile devices and at stationary terminals, 60 000 articles can be ordered through the Hornbach online shop and, if required, also delivered to the Trollhättan store. Hornbach Byggmarknad AB is renting the property for twelve years and has invested SEK 47 mio (EUR 4.6 mio) in the location. With this new opening, the number of Hornbach stores in Sweden has risen to eight.
