Success for Domotex Middle East Domotex Middle East, staged from 7 - 10 November 2013 in Istanbul, Turkey, attracted a total of 4 321 international trade visitors to the IFM Istanbul Expo Center. There 180 exhibitors from 16 countries made use of the fair as an interface for the initiation of new business and the development of customer relations. China, India, Iran and Germany were present with a great variety of products within the context of group stands. The event occupied a net exhibition space of around 6 000 m². Ambiente India is coming Messe Frankfurt is exporting the concept of Ambiente, the international consumer goods fair, to India. Ambiente India will be held for the first time from 19 - 21 June 2014, and in parallel to Heimtextil India. The venue will be in New Delhi, the capital of India. Like the parent event in Frankfurt it will be presenting new products and trends in three sections: Dining, Giving and Living. The linking of the two fairs means that visitors will be offered an overview of the table top, kitchen and household ranges, as well as gifts and lifestyle items. A press release from the organisers mentions factors such as the growth of cities, increases in disposable income and the above-average development of the hotel and catering trade, as well as the property market, as providing the impetus for the markets in the areas of living, furnishing and decorating. By 2016 the market volume for products to do with interior design will have grown to US $ 48.5 bn, according to a study of BRIC data. Over and above this, it is expected that the growth in consumption in India will be accompanied by an increasing demand for products for the home. More visitors from abroad at THS The attendance figures for visitors to the 2013 Taiwan Hardware Show indicated an increase of some ten per cent on the previous year's result. Of the 23 847 visitors registered at the event, 3 248 had come from abroad; that was around 16 per cent more than in 2012. The exhibitor numbers at the show, which was staged from 21 - 23 October, hovered around the previous year's level. The organisers - the Kaigo exhibition company and the Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturers' Association - are emphasizing the international character of the event, especially on the visitor side. For instance, buyers came not only from Europe, the USA, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, but from a great number of other regions as well, including emerging countries.
