Totally DIY: change of venue and hot food The UK trade show Totally DIY is on the move again. The show will be held on 10 to 12 February 2013 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry in conjunction with Totally Tools, having moved in 2010 from London to Birmingham. The organiser Brintex has also announced further changes: the stand size will be limited in future to 50 m² to encourage bigger brand manufacturers to participate, because costs can be limited in this way. Buyers visiting the fair are also to be entertained and will receive a hot meal during their visit. A closer working relationship with the consultancy firm Insight DIY is being implemented in a bid to attract more DIY store operators as visitors alongside the wholesale and retail trade. Show in Istanbul cancelled The DIY & Home Improvement Suppliers Expo in Istanbul will not now take place. The organiser Media Force has cancelled the Turkish trade show, which was planned for November. It has also discontinued its DIY trade magazine Tedarik. Proportion of international IPM exhibitors increases Around 1 500 exhibitors from 40 countries will present their products and services at the next Internationale Pflanzenmesse (International Plant Fair, IPM) in Essen from 22 to 25 January 2013. Sri Lanka and Thailand are also represented by an official country delegation for the first time. The Baltic states of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia will be the partner countries of the Internationale Gartenbauforum Osteuropa (International Horticultural Forum of Eastern Europe). The organisers expect 60 000 trade visitors to attend the fair. Mixed end result for Flowers IPM Moscow More exhibitors and bigger areas, but distinctly fewer visitors, are the end results of the 19th Flowers IPM Moscow. The event, jointly staged by Messe Essen and fair organisers MVCVVC from 29 August to 1 September, attracted 12 000 visitors, about one-third down on last year's figure. On the other hand, the number of exhibitors saw an increase of 16 per cent to 524 companies from 15 countries, while the exhibition space was extended by 1 500 m² to a total of 17 500 m². The 20th edition of the fair will take place from 28 to 31 August 2013. The Far East comes to Cologne The Asia-Pacific Sourcing fair will be staged for the fifth time…
