In-store information system

Egger DIY Products is launching a new laminate flooring collection. Also new is a product information system developed specially for DIY stores

“Megafloor” is a complete package that has been designed to fulfil all the many and various requirements of today’s DIYer. The collection includes a total of 34 decors. Three categories with a colour-coding system have been developed to make it easier for consumers to find what they want: M1, M2 and M3 serve to identify the different qualities of laminate flooring. Added to this are seven surface finishes that are individually tailored to the decor of the laminate flooring. All three categories are antistatic and can be laid without tools with the help of “JUST clic!” profiles.
The 15 decors in the M1 category of floorboards 7 mm thick include such classics as oak, beech, cherry and maple. At 8 mm thick, the M2 category is geared to a modern living environment. The decors available include dark wenge, antique oak and antique pine, as well as three tile decors. A special feature here is the possibility of freely combining the narrower width with normal-width panels in natural antique oak and antique pine.
Three decors (beech elegance, Queensland acacia and Ardennes oak) are included in the M3 category for use in offices, foyers and dining rooms. M3 offers a total thickness of 9 mm, with “Silenzio” underlay included as standard.
In the company there is a strong conviction that consumers make their choices according to what they like, not primarily according to classification or quality. Which is the reason behind the attention given to providing an attractive in-store display module for the consumer. A newly developed and informative system is designed to allow for quick customer orientation and simple decision-making. This system provides the most vital information right by the product. It can be applied in the form of alcove displays integrated into existing racking, pallet presentations or island modules according to the possibilities to hand. The alcove displays present each decor individually, complete with information highlighting the guarantee, the symbol for that decor (e.g. an apple represents the “apple tree” decor), a photo mural illustrating its usage, the name of the decor with a fact sheet, and the price.
