International Hardware Fair postponed

The International Hardware Fair will not now take place as planned from 6 to 9 March 2022, but instead from 25 to 28 September 2022, Koelnmesse has announced. The organisers cite the continued dynamic development of the pandemic as the reason for this, along with potentially stringent travel restrictions for important Asian overseas markets in March next year. This manufacturing and sales market has a high status in the hardware industry, according to Koelnmesse. Many Asian countries have now identified Germany and large parts of Europe as a high-risk region once again in view of the rising incidence of Covid-19, making travel from these countries to Europe difficult going into next year.
"Based on experiences from 2021 and the progress of the global vaccination campaign, the situation in September 2022 should appear completely different," say officials in Cologne. Companies are expected to have the opportunity to register for the September 2022 edition of the International Hardware Fair from January onwards.
