International trade fair in Vietnam

For quite some time now, the Vietnamese organisers Vinexad National Trade Fair and Advertising have been working on hosting a trade fair for the hardware industry with an international focus in Vietnam - with continuous growth rates. Now the next edition is just around the corner: from 5 to 8 December 2018, the Vietnam Hardware & Hand Tools Expo 2018 will take place in the capital city Ho Chi Minh City.
A further increase in the number of exhibitors has been announced: around 250 companies from 20 countries will present themselves at 300 stands according to Vinexad. In the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center around 5 000 m² is available for this. In comparison: a year ago this was 218 companies from 16 countries; that was already a third more exhibitors than at the premiere in 2016. Top brands also on board in 2018 include Bosch, Wera, Wiha, Swisstec, Patta, Wedo or Star-M. Among the represented nations are important manufacturing countries such as Germany, Japan, Korea, China, Switzerland, India and Taiwan.
In terms of visitors, a figure beyond the 9 000 mark in trade visitors is being targeted again. Most recently, more than 9 600 trade visitors attended.

The product range presented at the trade fair is divided into the four domains tools, fasteners, security and work safety devices. In addition to product-orientated industries such as construction, automobile, bridges, shipbuilding, aviation and wood processing, retail is also an important target group of the event.
The trade fair is also supported officially. In addition to the Association of Mechanical Industry (VAMI), others such as the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the Ministry of Science and Technology are among the hosts of the event.
Around 15 000 mechanical product businesses belong to the hardware industry in Vietnam itself. 116 of these companies have more than 1 000 employees, twelve of these companies employ more than 5 000 people.
