Karl Sandlund to be new Byggmax boss

Karl Sandlund will be the new head of the Swedish DIY group Byggmax. The board of directors has appointed him president and CEO of the Byggmax Group. Sandlund will start at Byggmax no later than 17 October.

The new CEO moves from Acade Media, where he held the position of COO. The company is active in the education sector and operates daycare centres, schools and adult education facilities. Previously, Sandlund held positions including Chief Commercial Officer and Interim CEO for the airline SAS. He began his career at McKinsey in Stockholm.
