Kesko increases DIY and building trade sales by 16 per cent

The building and home improvement trade division of the Finish Kesko group increased its sales in 2020 by 16.2 per cent compared to the previous year and by 7.9 per cent in comparable terms. The total sales volume reached EUR 1.8458 bn.
The 130 stores in Finland under the K-Rauta brand report a turnover of EUR 971.6 mio and a growth rate of 7.0 per cent (6.8 per cent in comparable terms).
Kesko's second largest home improvement and building trade market is Norway, where the group operates the Byggmakker and Carlsen Carlsen Fritzøe chains with 86 locations in total; they increased their sales by 19.7 per cent (7.9 per cent in comparable terms) to EUR 463.0 mio.
In Sweden, sales made by the 17 K-Rauta stores grew by 13.7 per cent (12.6 per cent) to EUR 186.1 mio, whilst the 34 K-Bygg stores achieved a growth of 72.0 per cent (9.6 per cent) to EUR 228.4 mio.
