Lowe’s grows by 8.5 per cent in the first half of the year

Lowe's, the number two DIY operator in the United States and throughout the world, completed the first six months (ending 4 August 2017) of the current financial year 2017/2018 with an increase in sales of 8.5 per cent. Sales amounted to USD 36.355 bn. Comparable sales increased 3.3 per cent.
In the second quarter of 2016, sales increased 6.8 per cent to USD 19.5 bn, and comparable sales increased 4.5 per cent. Comparable sales for the U.S. home improvement business increased 4.6 per cent for the second quarter and 3.4 per cent for the six-month period.
