New active ingredient In several products, “Duaxo Universal Pilz-frei”, “Duaxo Rosen Pilz-frei” and “Duaxo Rosen Pilz Spray”, Compo has used a new ingredient which provides protection from fungal disease for more than 30 crops. This is the first time that the fully systemic ingredient has been used in products for use in the home and private gardens. According to the manufacturer, these products are characterised by their curative and prophylactic effect. Working from inside the infested plant, they instantly put an end to any further spread of harmful fungi and prevent any new infections through a long-lasting depot effect. www.compo.comPond fish feeder The professional “Fish Feeder“ from the Netherlands supplier Velda has been developed as an automatic device that is ideal for feeding fish at times when the owners are absent on holiday, for instance. It will feed the fish up to 20 times a day, and can take all types of flock or pellet feed up to 12 mm. The amount dispensed per feed can be regulated according to the number of fish in the pond. The device can be installed in the pond in several different ways. www.velda.comDesign for trolleys Italian supplier Organizzazione Orlandelli is introducing a new ABS water tray for the standard trolley. As the company explains, the raised areas on the surface of the tray allow for thorough irrigation while protecting the plants from any direct contact with the water, which can lead to a lack of oxygen. The product avoids any water dripping on the shelves, which then remain clean. Moreover, the water trays add a touch of aesthetic appeal to the trolleys. The multitude of colours and the functionality of the product provide a designer look that facilitates plant sales. www.orlandelli.itHome-grown in a tent Grow Camp, a Danish manu-facturer, has developed a new product concept in line with the “grow your own” trend. The product of the same name is a combination of raised bed, grow tent and greenhouse. It comes complete with an insect net, which allows for about 90 per cent rain penetration. It is also possible to fix plastic foil over the insect netting. The basic version, which is 120 x 120 cm in size, can be extended in multiples of 120 cm by the addition of extra modules. The bed consists of a bottomless box 50 cm high; the 100 cm upper frame is simply clicked on to the base and locked in place. www.growcamp.comIt’s a shame for you not to make good money… …when these retailers do it so easily.
