Elegant cabinet
Videotronic International is launching the latest version of its DVD 360 POS interactive terminal. Customers can quickly and simply obtain the information they require about products and services by means of the interactive touch-screen. The system features an integrated automatic startup once power has been switched on, two loudspeakers with forward beam, and covers for all the control elements to avoid any unauthorised interference. The elapsed time indicator, which functions as a monitoring instrument for the operator, cannot be turned  back. It is also possible to add a PIR (passive infra-red) sensor so that the device or the sound can be switched either on or off as required.

Mobile data collection
The new IT 3875 cordless scanner from Hand Held Products turns mobile data collection into an interactive process with its rapid linear imager for bar codes plus PDF 417. It also features text input by keypad, display of scanned and written data on the four-line LCD, and communication with the host computer by spread spectrum radio. The operator can move around freely with the cordless scanner pistol within a working area of 3 000 m2, yet still remain permanently in contact with the host – without requiring any reconfiguration of software. The operating life of a fully charged battery amounts to up to 25 hours or 18 000 scans.

Optimised shelves
The new “Meta Multi Stabil//” shelves have a load-bearing capacity of up to 40 kg and are characterised by high torsional strength. New are the diagonal ties welded to the underside, which prevent buckling of the longitudinal and vertical edges when there is a load on the shelf. Stability of the shelf corners is achieved through folding the longitudinal edges over and thus doubling the material. The shelving is available from 100 to 130 cm in length and 30 to 80 cm deep.

Counting coins the easy way
Bizerba’s EL precision scales make for easy counting of euro coins. The roll of coins is placed on the scales, the individual weight of the coins is requested by means of the keypack, and the number of coins can be read off. When counting loose euro change the balance will show the number of coins or the amount in euros according to the option keyed in.
