Obi launches on-demand delivery

Together with the start-up Bringoo, the German DIY market leader Obi is introducing on-demand delivery. The innovation factory Squared, founded in 2021, is responsible for this at Obi. Customers get goods from the Obi range delivered to their homes within 45 minutes or according to a scheduled advance order. Inner city suburbs as well as outlying areas will be served.

The launch will take place in Hamburg, with other cities to follow. Delivery will be made by electric vehicles. "We want to be the first DIY store to enable Quick Commerce," says Phil Jenke, venture client & venture capital lead at Squared.
