Original store tour and warm get-together at the start of the Summit

The 8th Global DIY Summit in Copenhagen began yesterday, 8 June 2022, with a store tour and get-together in the evening. Around 900 participants travelled to the Danish capital. DIY store operators and manufacturers from all over the world are represented with their company leaders.

Six stops made up the store tour. Locations of the German chain Bauhaus, the discount format Jem & Fix, the building materials chain Stark and the cooperation XL-Byg were visited. The participants also showed great interest in Silvan's inner-city flagship store in the middle of Copenhagen. An original addition was the visit to Genbyg, which specialises in the recycling of construction elements.

The entire event was characterised by the clearly perceptible joy of all attendees at being able to meet and exchange ideas in person again after a two-year break. It is supported by the European trade and manufacturers' associations Edra/Ghin and Hima.
