Peruvian DIY chain Promart has opened its 34rd store in San Martín de Porres, north of the capital Lima. According to the company, this is its largest location to date. The sales area is 7 200 m², with 1 200 m² for the building material department. It is Promart's first store in Lima with a bioclimatic system (out of four in total). The new store is located in the Plaza Center shopping centre in the direct vicinity of a store in the Makro supermarket chain, Peru Retail reports. Grupo Intercorp has invested USD 400 mio in the shopping centre with a total sales area of 100 000 m², reports the online edition of La República. The next Promart opening is scheduled for the first quarter of 2023, according to press reports.
