Record number of participants at the Global DIY Summit 2023

More than 1,000 attendees are expected at the 9th Global DIY Summit in Berlin on 14-16 June 2023, including 300 retailers. This is a record, the organisers announce in their newsletter. The congress is titled "Visions of DIY in the age of uncertainty." The years 2020 and 2021 have taught retailers and manufacturers that uncertainty is the new normal, according to the two international industry associations, Edra and Hima. There is uncertainty in demand, customer behaviour and the supply chain, they say, while consumer behaviour has also changed dramatically. New strategies are therefore needed. "Today, it is more important than ever for retailers and manufacturers to embrace the latest trends, listen to their customers and invest in technology," the associations are convinced. During the congress, visitors will have the opportunity to meet brands and retailers and discuss these issues with them.
