The US American group Sherwin-Williams increased sales in its retail division The Americas Group in the second quarter by 22.6 per cent to USD 3.0934 bn (EUR 2.6197 bn). Same store sales increased 19.3 per cent. However the company reports a double-digit sales minus in the product range DIY, driven by a difficult prior year comparison as consumer demand returned to more normal levels. In contrast, in all professional architectural end markets there has been strong double-digit growth, the company says. The Sherwin-Williams company is also one of the largest manufacturers of paint, coatings and related products in the world.
