Egger – Do it yourself – Products, a company based at St. Johann in Tyrol (Austria) and Brilon (Germany) is an independent subsidiary of the Egger group, which has a workforce of 4 900 generating sales of € 1.7 bn at 15 different works.
MDF offers the potential for efficient processing and finishing.
The product programme comprises coated panels, worktops, three-ply panels, window sills and plywood, along with MDF, OSB and particle board, plus laminate flooring and many other lines.
The worktops offer two programmes with 45 and 132 décors respectively, comprehensive accessories and three edging strips (postformed, decorative or solid wood). The worktops can be ordered to size as rectangular boards, L-shaped units with a 90 degree join, U-shaped corner units, or as a corner solution with a 45 degree mitred middle section.
EDF offers individual cutting to size ex factory, including cut-outs for sinks and stoves.
There is also a broad range in the area of laminate flooring. Here EDP has developed a production line of its own that includes “e motion”, “Feelwood” and “Ego!”. “E motion” covers the current lifestyle trends with three different thematic styles, elegant, romantic or modern. “Feelwood” is the wood block parquet collection, and “Ego!” introduces the possibility of adding light and design elements to flooring for the first time. The entire collection features a “silenzio” system that reduces the audible sound of echo by almost 50 per cent. The “JUST clic! Profil” is also a standard feature: a newly developed glueless laying system that requires no tools at all. The choice of accessories ranges from border profiles through to laying kits as well as light elements. The laminate flooring is manufactured by Egger Floor Products, the flooring subsidiary that was founded by Egger in 1996.

As a special service EDP offers individual cutting to size ex factory, which also includes making provision for built-in sinks and stoves in the case of worktops. With the help of special free software it is possible to create a 3D drawing that can be used as an order list. The customer is also supplied with a printout of the final price at this stage.
A POS display that shows customers this additional service at a glance is available to DIY stores providing customised cutting to size. This individual service can be offered by DIY stores without any capital tie-up.
