International activities and new marketing concepts underpin sales

The Austrian 3e Group recorded sales of € 476 mio in the 2004 business year, which amounts to a 0.2 per cent increase over the previous year. Domestic sales were down by 1.8 per cent to € 378 mio. By contrast, however, the group's international members achieved sales of € 98 mio, which amounts to an increase of 9 per cent over the previous year. Altogether the group numbers 194 members in Austria plus 127 international partnership businesses. According to Dr. Günther Pacher, chairman of 3e, two factors have been crucial in underpinning the group's total sales: the implementation of the two new marketing concepts, Toolpark and Let's Do It, along with the expansion of international activities.
