Successful debut in China

German organisers Messe Essen assess the first Hortiflorexpo IPM Beijing as a very successful launching of the event. As the title reveals, Hortiflorexpo, which is said to be China’s most significant horticultural trade fair, and IPM Essen, the leading global fair for the green sector, came together for the first time from 11 to 14 April 2012 to stage the new event. A total of 405 companies from 24 countries and regions exhibited in the capacity-filled halls. An attendance figure of 16 586 was recorded. China Flowers, the biggest Chinese horticultural association, partnered Messe Essen in their cooperative enterprise. Next year the fair is to be held in Shanghai, from 17 to 21 August 2012.
