To unveil the latest industry innovations from the island state, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (Taitra), Taiwan's organisation for trade promotion, organised the Taiwan Excellence Building Material and Fastener Webinar on 30 October, welcoming over 200 viewers from across the globe. Executives from King Slide Works, Tronco Electric Machinery, Sheh Kai Precision and Sheh Fung Screw - all winners of the Taiwan Excellence Award - first showed their products. Participants then had the opportunity to find out more about the brands presented in business matchmaking sessions.
King Slide presented three safety concepts for drawer rails, including the Ever-Active Push-Open Design, Vibration Safety Design (VSD) and Switchable Push-Open Design. The company claims to be the world's second-largest manufacturer of rails for server cabinets. It now aims to gain a foothold in kitchen design and home furnishings.
Sheh Kai explained the advantages of the concrete screw anchor, which has been developed by the company, over the traditional expansion anchor. These include its time-saving installation, high ductility and protection against corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement.
Tronco unveiled an intelligent, automatic door system that is especially compact. The SW30 series also has a microprocessor servo controller for precise control of the door position and quiet, low-friction operation.
Sheh Fung has developed a special corrosion protection coating for its screws and offers made-to-measure services for various applications. It presented special timber construction screws, which are easy to handle and save time, according to the manufacturer.
