The China International Hardware Show (CIHS) is seen as leading hardware show in Asia and the second largest in the world, organised by Koelnmesse and China National Hardware Association (CNHA). For 18 years it has been continuously developing its platform for domestic and international customers.
After the challenge of moving the show dates in 2018 at short notice the organisers announce that the new date will be maintained for the 2019 edition. The next China International Hardware Show (CIHS) in Shanghai will take place this year from 10 - 12 October. Koelnmesse and CNHA expect that this early specification this year and a new trade fair concept will lead to the participation of over 3 000 exhibitors; in 2018, 2 530 companies were represented in Shanghai. Unlike then, the exhibition area will also be over only one level of the National Exhibition and Convention Center again; 120 000 m² are available.
In 2019 they will be focussing on internationality and quality brands which will be exhibited in Hall 5.1. There will be country pavilions, among others, from Germany, the USA, Taiwan, South Korea, Turkey and India. The special trade fair China International Building Hardware & Fastener Show, which is assigned to the CIHS, and the China International Locks & Security Doors Show, will also be taking place at the same time.
In addition, the event organisers have been working on the supporting programme. They want to further develop the business matchmaking system and invite professional buyers from China and abroad in advance for one-on-one matchmaking by specialists before the exhibition. Furthermore, they want to secure opportunities for on-site business consultation for exhibitors. In addition to the buyers from Europe and North and South America, the organisers also want to more strongly address visitors from the new emerging markets in Asia.
New in the supporting programme is an industry forum, to which experts from the CNHA and the international DIY retail association Edra/Ghin are invited. This will be concerned with, for example, European retailers' norms in the procurement of tools and hardware.
