As is the case since May, the French DIY market continues to remain in minus figures compared to the same period last year in August too. DIY Stores in France made 4.97 per cent less than in August 2020, reports the French DIY retail association FMB with reference to figures from the Banque de France. The association refers to the holidays, which many French set out on after the long lockdown period, and the bad weather as reasons. Compared to the level before the crisis however, the industry remains on a clear growth course. It still made 7 per cent more than in August 2019.
