The Japanese DIY and garden industry have the choice of two trade fairs where the industry gets together: Japan DIY Homecenter Show in August and the combined trade fair Tool Japan /Gardex/Ifex/Agritech in October.
The organisers of the Japan DIY Homecenter Show 2015 from 27 to 29 August 2015 in Tokyo have announced an extensive supporting programme. For example, under the program item Homecenter II, there will be once again, the possibility for dialogue between manufacturers and traders. There will be a tour of the show for purchasers, a store tour on Sunday after the show (30 August), workshops and the product competition, Japan DIY Product Competition. The first day of the show is exclusively for trade visitors only.
Last year the organiser, the Japan DIY Industry Association, counted 105 000 visitors, of which 26 262 were trade visitors on the first day, an increase of 19 per cent. One of the show themes was Women and DIY and a special area was devoted to this theme.
The combined trade fairs take place from 14 to 16 October 2015 in Tokyo, with Gardex  (Japan's largest garden and outdoor living industry trade show), Ifex (Asia's largest flower and horticulture industry trade show) and Agritech (trade fair for agricultural materials and technology) together with Tool Japan, which regards itself as Japan's only trade show specialized in tools und Japan's leading tool industry trade show.
The combined four events expect a total of 45 000 visitors and 1 760 exhibitors (2014: 38 820 visitors, 1 424 exhibitors from 21 countries, of which 170 were at Tool Japan and 237 at Gardex). The organiser is Reed Exhibitions Japan.
