The Japanese DIY association becomes a member of Ghin

The Japan DIY Industry Association is now a member of the Global Home Improvement Network (Ghin). The Japanese industry association was founded in 1977. It currently includes 57 trading companies. They operate a total of 4 700 DIY stores in the whole of Japan.
Sergio Giroldi, Obi CEO and president of the international association EDRA/GHIN, welcomes the new member association, particularly as both organisations share a common goal, namely to develop the DIY industry and thus enhance the living standard of people.
Its aim of raising the level of home improvement retailing is pursued by Ghin through members sharing information and best practice examples with each other. With the addition of the Japan DIY Industry Association, the network has significantly extended its reach.
